Currently, I serve as a CSOC Analyst at Vairav Technology, where my primary focus lies in safeguarding financial institutions and telecommunication companies from cyber threats. My journey began as an intern from February 2020 to May 2020, followed by a trainee role from June 2020 to August 2020. Since February 2020, I've been a dedicated CSOC Analyst, progressively assuming positions as a Tier 1 Analyst (August 2020 to December 2021), Senior Tier 1 Analyst (January 2022 to December 2022), Tier 2 Analyst (January 2023 to March 2024), and currently serving as the CSOC Team Lead National Unit. Throughout this tenure, my responsibilities have spanned threat hunting, incident response, SIEM configurations, and cyber advisory. Additionally, I excel in security compliance reporting, creating correlation rules, and meticulously monitoring logs for various systems including firewalls, routers, switches, Windows environments, webservers, antivirus, and critical servers. My proficiency extends to digital forensics, investigations, and malware analysis, shaping a comprehensive skill set reflective of my dedication and continuous growth.
I undertook an intern role at the IT & Network Operation Center (NOC) from August 2018 to February 2020, spanning 1 year and 6 months. Throughout this period, I gained hands-on experience and developed various skills, including network monitoring using tools like Nagios, MRTG, Observium, and Smokeping. I also became proficient in configuring and maintaining Cisco networking devices such as switches, routers, and firewalls. Basic configuration tasks for Mikrotik routers and Cambium and Grandstream access points were also within my purview. Additionally, I managed IT-related resources within the college and provided timely technical support for hardware, software, and network troubleshooting, further enhancing my capabilities in the field.
I briefly served as a Data Entry Assistant at the UN World Food Programme (WFP) in Patan, Nepal, for a period of 10 days in July 2018. In this role, my responsibilities primarily focused on data entry and verification.
I worked as a Computer Instructor at Sewa Education Foundation in Kathmandu, Nepal, for 1 year and 3 months, from December 2016 to March 2018. In this role, I taught students various skills, including typing, basic office software usage, and paint applications. I also guided them in graphic design using tools like Adobe Photoshop, CorelDraw, and more. Additionally, I provided training in web-page design covering HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, database management, and PHP. This experience allowed me to contribute to students' technical knowledge and digital abilities.
I served as a Graphic/Web Designer for a duration of 7 months, from April 2016 to November 2016. Within this role, I took on the responsibility of developing impactful advertisements and designing logos, contributing to the visual identity of various projects. Additionally, I engaged in crafting visually appealing front-end designs for websites, enhancing the online presence and user experience. This experience afforded me the opportunity to contribute creatively to branding and digital aesthetics.
I completed my Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Computer Networking & IT Security from 2017 to 2021. I achieved the distinction of First Class Honours in recognition of my academic performance during this period.
Between 2014 and 2016, I undertook my 10+2 studies with a major in Computer Science within the field of Management. I successfully completed the program with a Second Division standing.
In 2014, I accomplished my School Leaving Certificate (S.L.C.), achieving a First Division classification.
